Through our strategic alliance with Pasto Chamber of Commerce, business rounds were organized with business men from Pasto City and Nariño Province. These rounds took place in the premises of Pasto Chamber of Commerce on 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th May 2008. Visits to regional import and export business men were also carried out.
“The commercial mission counted with the presence of Raúl Cheyllada, IMISA CEO in Argentina. IMISA is well-known for promoting the development of exports, and its function is to foster business integration between the producer and the market. Moreover, it offers a pack of services that benefit both exporters and importers. IMISA’s participation is very important because IMISA is not only a buyer, but also has the necessary infrastructure to help companies develop their capacity to produce exportable products”, quoted from the Colombian newspaper Diario del Sur.
Within the scheduled days, institutional and business activities, business rounds with various groups and companies interested in the products represented by IMISA took place. The results of those hectic days are:
· The fixing of 28 business meetings to agree on joint negotiation.
· The introduction of Argentinian companies which trust IMISA and participated in the mission.
· Political-institutional relation to coordinate investment projects, showing mutual interest in the search for a joint growth of competitiveness.
· Guided visits to Nariño and Bogota, to get to know the productive development and complementary possibilities of the different regional production chains.
Apart from the scheduled business meetings, IMISA expanded its business net in starting the negotiation of its franchise in Colombia. Its location would be in Pasto, and it would be developed by the end of this year.
Raúl Cheyllada, IMISA CEO in Argentina, was the main promoter of the positive results of this Commercial Mission, which was strategically and responsibly planned, thus achieving a strong impact with the related companies and a permanent follow-up of the businesses made during the mission.
Pasto Chamber of Commerce organized professional development events for businessmen, being Raúl Cheyllada one of the outstanding lecturers. The talks and conferences were about the insertion of Colombian products in the Argentinian market, with an analysis of the international situation and the present context, looking for the promotion of business relationships among SMEs in both countries. |
